On Tuesday, Oct. 9, the Divide County Maroons were able to defeat Powers Lake, 3-0. Now with a record of 12-13-1 on the season, Divide County has won four out of their last five games. Meanwhile, Powers Lake falls to a record of 4-16-1.
Although Divide County won in straight sets, it was a competitive match throughout as the Maroons took the first set 25-20, the second set 25-22 and the third set by a score of 25-18.
Lauryn Heide led Divide County in kills with 14, and also compiled 13 digs. Teammate Ally Grote also contributed with seven kills and 16 digs. In the assist category, Kristeen Johnson led the way for the Maroons with 11. Johnson also added four aces in the victory.
