A pool of 15 candidates who were vying to become the new athletic director for the Williston State College Tetons has been narrowed down to three.
According to WSC president John Miller, the school’s hiring committee has requested that all three candidates be brought to campus for the next round of interviews. Part of the interview process will involve a presentation by the candidates to the committee.
Miller indicated that July 23 is the target date for all three interviews to take place. However, that date may change as two of the candidates will be flying into Williston for their interviews.
Miller declined to release the names of the candidates on the grounds that if they do not meet with school representatives for a second round of interviews, they would be eliminated from consideration.
The college’s previous athletics director, Dan Artemenko, stepped down from his position at WSC on June 28.
