Roderick “Rod” John Bisbee, 64, joined the hunters in the sky on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Healthcare in Billings, MT.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 521 13th Avenue West in Williston. Rev. Don Stackpole will officiate and interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Williston.
A family service open to all family and friends will be held Friday evening, November 30th at 7:00 PM at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home Chapel.
Rod was born on March 15, 1954 to Don and Margaret (Fluker) Bisbee in Williston, ND. After graduating high school, he worked numerous jobs, including time in the oil field near Williston. He worked over 29 years for Tofte Brothers Construction.
Rod was an avid outdoorsman. He spent most of his spare time either hunting or fishing. He shared this passion with many of his family members. He was proud of each animal he had mounted and could tell the story behind each one.
He was always willing to help out anyone that needed an extra hand. He helped to remodel many different buildings and built many houses throughout the city. He was a faithful father, brother, papa, friend and always loyal and dependable.
He is survived by the love of his life, Karen Lappi of Williston; son John Bisbee of Williston; daughter Amy Weyrauch of Williston; sister Linda Bisbee of Williston; grandchildren Jordyn Weyrauch and Evelyn Fisher of Williston; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Donald, Ronald, and Charles, and loyal friends and hunting companions.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to either Boy Scout Troop 368 through Faith United Methodist Church or the Williston Band Boosters, PO Box 2232, Williston, ND 58802-2232.
