Randy Everson, 61, of Williston, North Dakota, passed away Saturday evening, February 23, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Randy’s Celebration of Life will be held Friday afternoon, March 1, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Hillside Memory Gardens in Williston.
Randy Gene Everson was born February 12, 1958 in Williston ND to James H Everson and Elenor (Dolly) Haarstad Everson. He graduated Williston High School in 1976.
He earned his Eagle Rank in Boy Scouts in December 1972. While in Boys Scout he also was member of Order of the Arrow. He was scoutmaster of Troop 371 while his sons were in the troop.
He attended UND Williston for Auto Mechanics graduating in 1978. He went to work for Wisco, then Bomac Drilling (now Nabors) then back to Wisco before going to work for Arvid Barstad at Theim Drilling running Rat-hole machine for both companies. He worked 21 years for Schlumberger most recently in the Frac Department where his coworkers knew him as “Reggie”.
He met his future wife Cumi Cozart in 1980 and married her in November 1982.
Randy was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper who loved to play “jokes” on people. He was a great believer in the Second Amendment, collecting firearms and fireworks. He loved his lutefisk. He enjoyed going to the State Fair every summer. His friends there will miss him greatly.
Randy is survived by his wife Cumi, his sons Frank and Andre (Brittney) Everson, his grandson Dante Everson, his brothers Kelly (Marcy), Terry (Brenda), and Keith, his sisters Kim (Mike Bickler) and Cindy, and his sister-in-law Barbara Everson and too many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to list.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, parents-in-law and one brother Steven.
