Perry Allen Baker, 91

Perry Allen Baker was born on February 10, 1928 to John and Rosa Baker. He was raised on the Baker family farm southwest of Noonan, ND. He attended Blooming Valley school near the farm until the 8th grade. Then he worked on the family farm and numerous side jobs until he enlisted in the Navy in 1946, at the age of 17. After serving his country for 4 years, he received an honorable discharge in 1949. Perry married the love of his life, Dorris Ann Dennis on March 29, 1949. They were married for 70 years. Together they moved to Williston and Perry worked for the railroad. They moved back to Crosby in 1950 where Perry worked for Rolland Knutson farms until he bought their own home East of Noonan, where Perry worked at the Aggregate plant until he started working with Baukol Noonan Coal mines. He worked there, also farmed, raised cattle and horses until he retired.. During this time, Perry and Dorris raised 8 kids, Edward (Deceased), Cindy of Corvallis, MT, Bonnie of Noonan, Sherry (Larry Persson) of Estevan, Sask, Beth (Leonard) of Cut Bank, MT, Ralph of Noonan, Marty (Anna) of Noonan, Candace Haagenson of Dickinson. They also have 18 grandchildren and 23 Great grandchildren. Even after Perry retired, he worked to stay busy. He worked at the Town and Country and Noonan Grocery store. One awesome thing about Perry , he always loved to visit with everyone. Perry passed away on June 24, 2019 in Cut Bank, MT , while staying with his daughter Beth and son-in-law Leonard and his lovely wife Dorris.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosa Baker, his sisters, Florence Fenster, Edith Kettle, Ethal Shefstad and Rosa Greaves; brothers, Clarence and Johnny; sister-in-law Christine Baker; brothers-in-law, Rudy Kettle and Art Shefstad; son, Edward Allen; son-in-law, Lester Haagenson; grandsons, Jeremy Baker and Chris Haagenson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Assembly of God Church in Crosby with Pastor Dennis Huenefeld officiating. Burial with Military honors will follow at Concordia City Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Stakston-Martin Funeral Home in Crosby and also one hour before the service at the church.
