In Lieu of flowers, Peggy’s family prefers that memorials be given to United Lutheran Church in Zahl, PO Box 218, Grenora, ND 58845.

Peggy was born June 17, 1943 at Mercy Hospital in Williston, North Dakota to Lucetta (Wright) and Erwin Miller.  She attended school at Webster, Central and graduated from Williston High School in 1961.

She started babysitting at age 11 and while in high school, worked at McCurdy’s Cafe.  When that closed she went to work for B & B Super Drug for twenty one years.  She quit work to stay at home when her daughter was born in 1983.  In 1996, she went to work at Super 8 as a front desk clerk and enjoyed that job for 9 years until her cancer diagnosis.

On July 8, 1979, Peggy married the love of her life, Vern Nelson, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Williston.  This date was chosen because it was a special day being the birthdays of her sister, Virginia, and her son, Darin, as well as her brother, Les, and his daughter, Patti.

On February 19, 1983 she had her miracle baby, Amber Lucetta, who was the joy of her life.

Peggy was baptized and confirmed at Concordia in Williston.  After her marriage to Vern, she joined United Lutheran Church in Zahl and taught Sunday School, she served on the church board, and belonged to Ladies Aid.  God and church were very important to her and she loved her “church family.”

Peggy also loved spending time with family.  She had a very special bond with all of her nieces and nephews and loved when everyone could come “home.”

God bless her memory.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Vern; her parents, Erwin and Lucetta; her sister, Donna, and brothers, Les (Berta), Bob, and Jerry (Ruth); as well as her brother-in-law, Larry Nelson.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber (Tyler); step-children, Connie, Brian and Corina and their children, Brandon, Alex, Jake, Madison, Heather and Art; her sisters, Joy (Ken) Perryman, Jean (Al) King, Virginia (Jim) Baisch; sisters-in-law, Etta Miller and Ruth Falkenberg; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special “daughters” Amanda Mosher and Carla Hurley.
