The Williams County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip which was forwarded to the Northwest Narcotics Task Force (NWNTF) in reference to a large amount of suspected methamphetamine being housed in the Williston area.

The NWNTF with the assistance of the Williston Police Department executed a search warrant on a hotel room at the Quality Inn on Friday November 19. Law Enforcement detained German Ortega and Vittoria Patton in this case.

After searching the hotel room, the NWNTF seized over six pounds of suspected methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia and over $7,000.00 in cash. The seized meth has an approximate street value of $272,000.00.

Patton was charged with Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in excess of 50 grams, an A- Felony with a Maximum 20-year imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine; Possession of drug paraphernalia, a C-Felony with a Maximum 5-year imprisonment and/or fine of $10,000.

Ortega-Gaytan was charged with Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in excess of 50 grams, an A- Felony with a Maximum 20-year imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine; and Possession of drug paraphernalia- Scale, a C-Felony with Maximum 5-year imprisonment and/or fine of $10,000.
