Have your 'elf' a merry little Christmas
Williams County had a special visitor this fall — Bill the elf, who came from the North Pole to report back on how things are going.

Bill the Elf spent the last several weeks checking in on Williams County for the big man up at the North Pole. Here are some of the adventures he had.
Elves are excellent tree-decorating consultants.
Since he isn't a resident, Bill couldn't vote in the special school district reorganization election this month, but he was on hand as an observer. He had so much fun he is going to talk with Santa about making election worker play kits.
Bill has a meeting with Williams County Sheriff Verlan Kvande.
Bill was disappointed in the lack of snow and had to be persuaded not to use other materials to build a snowman.

Despite his job watching over other people's behavior, Bill could find himself in trouble, too. Like the time he was found in the Williams County Commission room watching "Die Hard," which may or may not be a Christmas movie, depending on who you ask.
Bill said the roads at the North Pole don't have anything on County Road 8.
