Bond has been set for a Williston man charged with vehicular homicide over the weekend.
Williams County Judge Benjamen Johnson set bond at $500,000 for 52-year-old Mark Bearce, who is charged with driving the wrong way down Highway 2 on Saturday, Nov 6. Bearce collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Stephanie Lee. Lee and a 7-year-old passenger were killed in the crash. A third passenger in the car received non life-threatening injuries. The North Dakota Highway Patrol said debris from the accident struck another vehicle, but that driver was uninjured.
Bearce is currently being held at the Williams County Correctional Center, and will have a preliminary hearing with Judge Johnson on Dec 8.
Bearce faces Class A and C felonies which include two counts of vehicular homicide and four counts of reckless endangerment.
