A man is facing a felony charge after police said he had dozens of fentanyl pills inside a teddy bear.
Esteban Bernal II was charged Monday, Sept. 13, with a class B felony count of possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, as well as three class A misdemeanor drug charges.
Police searched Bernal’s apartment on Friday, Sept. 10, and found a small amount of methamphetamine, several pills of alprazolam, a ledger, more than $600 in cash and 43 fentanyl pills, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The fentanyl pills were inside a teddy bear.
A preliminary hearing on the charge is scheduled for Oct. 13.
