During National Hunger Action Month in September, MFBN launches its largest fundraiser of the year, Feed Montana. All funds raised through this campaign will go directly towards providing food for people experiencing food insecurity across Montana. According to Feeding America, 1 in 9 Montanans, including 1 in 6 children, are experiencing food insecurity. This year, MFBN aims to raise $90,000, which will help provide at least 360,000 meals for families throughout the state.
“Recognizing National Hunger Action Month is particularly critical this year as Montanans face increased barriers to affordable, nutritious food. More than ever, our food insecure neighbors need our support,” said MFBN President and Chief Executive Officer, Gayle Carlson. “Let's join together to ensure that every child, adult and senior has consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life.”
