SLEETY. It’ll be a mix of rain, snow and sleet today as things shift in the weather. We cover that and what’s on the other side, along with some more ice discussion from the G&F and in general in our Outdoors Roundup.

Tomorrow: Thu 11/21 – Clearing – Hi 29, Lo 20, Wind NW@9
SOLUNAR (Bismarck Times):
Moonrise Moonset Overhead Underfoot
12:08AM 2:32PM 7:27AM 7:53PM
Moon Phase: Waning Crescent (43% Full)
EDGE HOUR: 7:30-8:30AM. With sunrise and moon overhead along with light winds, the Edge Hour will be your best bet before the winds pick up.
GIVE NOTICE. The NDG&F Dept. reminds organizers that winter ice fishing derbies – and all fishing contests – require 30 days’ notice to the agency. This helps staff understand the impact to the proposed fishery.
LOOK AHEAD. Desperation Weekend is in the wings, but good conditions should allow you to get out this Friday, Saturday and Sunday to finish off your deer hunting season. After a slide in temps tomorrow, things rebound into the 40s for the last three days of the gun season.
DON’T TEST IT. Ice conditions remain sketchy throughout the state, and most lakes are in some sort of the formation and thaw process as we move through November. Do not tread on newly-formed ice at this time, as temperatures in the 40s and 50s set back the quality.
