The Williston State Tetons Volleyball team bounced back from a loss to North Dakota State College on Sept. 27 to go 4-0 in the NDSCS Tournament over the weekend in Wahpeton.
The Tetons beat Hibbing 25-9, 25-17, 25-10, Northland 25-17, 25-22, 25-15, Ridgewater 15-25, 25-17, 28-26, 25-20, and Central Lakes 22-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.
“The girls worked hard this weekend,” said Tetons head coach Alissa Hoehn in a release. “We faced strong opponents and every game the girls left it all on the court. This is the time of the season when we really want to focus on finishing every game and pushing ourselves.”
Sophomore Alexis Durbin totaled 43 kills for the tournament. Jaden Lynch had 86 assists and eight aces. The Tetons had 288 digs with Cassie Thomas getting 85.
Hoehn said she was happy with way her team regrouped over the weekend.
“We learned some lessons in that tough loss on Thursday and it was great to see the team starting to commit to our game plan every play,” said Hoehn
The Tetons return home for their next match. They will take on Dakota College at Bottineau at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Well.
