Lowell Huwe, 86, of Williston passed away at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home on Thursday morning, Jan. 16, 2014.
His funeral will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, at First Lutheran Church in Williston. The Rev. Martin Mock will officiate, and interment will follow in the Hillside Memory Gardens in Williston.
Lowell Huwe peacefully went to be with his wife and maker Jan. 16, 2014.
He was born July 27, 1927, at Noonan to Harry and Ella Huwe.
He married Harriet Rasmussen on Oct. 24, 1948. They had six children. He worked various jobs until he landed his job with the Burlington Northern Railroad and the US Postal Service. He retired July 1, 1992.
Lowell enjoyed working with his animals and gardening. He also enjoyed fishing and a little camping now and then.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet of almost 54 years; one son, Verlyn Huwe; his parents, Harry and Ella Huwe; sisters, Blanche, Joyce and Verna; one brother, Leroy; brothers and sister-in-law, Lola, Dean, and Duane.
He is survived by his children, Ronald (Edna) Huwe, Gaylen (Candy) Huwe, Kendal Huwe, Shelly Huwe and Sherry Clavette; adopted granddaughter, Angela (Chad) Schnaible; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Clair and Lyle; and sisters, Leona, Lucille and Cheryl.
He will be lovingly remembered by all of his family and friends.
