Dustin Raymond Hoffman, 34, Sherwood, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, in an automobile accident near Northgate.

Dustin was born Feb. 3, 1979, in Fargo to Don and Karen (Skjervem) Hoffman. He graduated from Westhope High School in 1997. He attended Bismarck State University and received a certificate in HVAC in 1999. Dustin worked throughout high school at Double EE services in Westhope for three years and continued off and on until 2004. He worked for Ham’s Well Service and Murex Petroleum. He started working for H&P Drilling Co. He worked in Wyoming and North Dakota where he worked his way up to a driller for the last several years.

Dustin married Amanda Brown on June 28, 2003, in Sherwood. They made their home in Sherwood, and were blessed with two little girls, Amelia, 9, and Summer, 4.
Dustin loved his wife and worshipped his girls. Dustin loved fishing, camping, golfing, going to gun shows that his Dad was at and looking for boxes of old .22 shells. Another favorite pastime of his was pulling pranks on anyone and everyone.

Dustin was the most generous person; he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. His pearly-white smile and the sparkle in his eyes could light up the room.

He loved his family and friends more than anything and cherished every moment with each of them.

Dustin is survived by the love of his life, Amanda, Sherwood; daughters, Amelia and Summer, both at home; father, Don Hoffman, Williston; brother, Jon (Leslie) Hoffman and their two children, Allison and Donovan, Gillette, Wyo.; sister, Yvonne (Allen) Larsen and their four children, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Mathew and Paige, Gilbert, Minn.; sister-in-law, Christine (Tyler) Southam and their two kids, Simon and Owen, Del Rio, Texas; grandmother, Shirley Hoffman, Tioga; in-laws, Ross and Karen Carter, Sherwood; and Rick and Leah Brown, Vancouver, Wash.; special aunt, Janice (Tom) Hanson, Surrey; special cousin, Ida (Corky) Latendresse, Minot; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
