Four women were arrested in the Williston area on Friday for prostitution. Two of the women were also charged with drug-related crimes.

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Northwest Narcotics Task Force and the Williston Police Department conducted the prostitution investigation, resulting in the arrests.

According to a release from the WPD, 27-year-old Nerrisha Marie Thomas of Milwaukee, Wis., was charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor. Latoya Lewis, 28, of Milwaukee, Wis., was charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana, both class B misdemeanors. Juanita Gatlin, 43, of Fridley, Minn., was charged with prostitution. Wendy Jean Besserud, 31, of Fargo, was charged with prostitution, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.

The WPD did not release more information or where the women were arrested.
