A dump truck was hit by a train Friday afternoon east of Williston, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol report.
Ethan Ritter, 21, of Williston, was traveling west on 54th Street NW. He stopped at a stop sign at a railroad crossing. When he went to proceed across the train tracks, a BNSF train collided with the rear passenger side of the 1989 Peterbilt dump truck.
The truck came to rest facing north on the west side of the tracks.
The wreck is under investigation, but no charges have been filed.
Ritter was transported to Mercy Medical Center with neck pain.
