Former Williston Coyote standout Brent Qvale was among the final roster cuts of the New York Jets Saturday.
Qvale, a four-year offensive lineman with Nebraska, misses the 53-man roster with the Jets, and has until today to be signed to the practice squad before becoming a free agent.
The rookie signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Jets this year.
Saturday was the deadline for teams to cut rosters from 75 to 53 before the season opener next weekend.
Qvale battled a concussion earlier in August before seeing limited action.
