The final weekend of the musical, “Quilters” written by Molly Newman and Barbara Dameshek will be presented by Entertainment, Inc! from Oct. 4 through Oct. 7.

According to Theater Director B. Michael Quale, the theater piece is a storytelling of the settlement of the Great Plains through the eyes of the courageous women who raised their families here in the late 1800s to early 1900s.

The tales are told by seven actors through song and monologue and are representative of the joys and hardships experienced by the homesteaders of western North Dakota and eastern Montana.

Throughout the story, a pioneer woman and her six daughters work together to construct a legacy quilt.  Each patch of the quilt represents their memories, hopes, prayers and dreams. A series of short tales matched with musical numbers paint a picture of what frontier life was like.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. except for Sunday which is a 2:30 matinee viewing. Advance reservations may be made by calling the Entertainment, Inc! box office at 701-577-3179.
