Police have identified a Williston man who stole a beer truck and crashed it in the Walmart parking lot on Sunday.

Steven Ison, 29, was arrested on charges of theft of property, a Class B felony.

On Sunday Ison stole a Coors beer truck owned by Danny Nehring while it was parked on the 300-block of Fourth Avenue West, police said. It was later found crashed in the Walmart parking lot. Police did not say if any beer was stolen. Ison is currently being held at the Williams County Correctional Center.

Police officials explained that the theft of property was a Class B felony since the value of the item taken was more than $10,000.

The truck was previously owned by Morelli's Distributing, and was sold about a month ago, the assistant manager of the company said. A Class B felony has a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment, $10,000 in fines, or both.
