The loss kept Williston in eighth place in the WDA standings, directly behind Jamestown in seventh.
The Coyotes fell behind quickly with two first-period goals against, and fought the rest of the game to keep pressure on Jamestown to try and cut the deficit. But despite outshooting Jamestown 35-24, they couldn't find the scoreboard.
"The girls played really well," said coach Mikki Rehak. "The first period we kind of came out and weren't mentally focused on the game when they got their first two goals. But the second and third periods we played really well. The efforts were there, the shots were there."
Jamestown's Carrisa Finck made all 35 saves for Jamestown. "It seems like we always face a goalie who has the best game of their life against us," Rehak said.
The Coyotes will host Fargo North and Bottineau next Friday and Saturday night at the Agri-Sports Complex.
