She was born on Feb. 21, 1948, to Kermit and Helen Pederson of Ray.
Mary Ellen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She loved to travel, but her greatest love of all was spending time with her family, especially her four precious grandchildren.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her father, Kermit Pederson and her brother, David Pederson. She is survived by her mother, Helen Pederson, Williston; her husband of 40 years, Mike Ghaffari, Katy, Texas; sisters, Anne Lowers and Marjorie Zaste, both of Williston; son, Scott Ghaffari, his wife, Corrie and their children, Sophie and David, Katy; daughter, Sonia Wright, her husband, Colby and their children, Alex and Julia, Pearland, Texas.
Her funeral service was on Saturday, Jan. 30 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
