Tarell Clark led the way in the championship game with 24 points and 14 rebounds, both team highs.
"It's awfully nice to win that tournament, it'd been a long time since the Tetons had won that on the men's side," said Tetons coach Hunter Berg. "It just feels good.”
The end of a three-day tournament can get kind of ugly and that's what it was tonight, but we grinded it out."
Williston State jumped out early with a double-digit lead quickly in the first half and never trailed in the game. Miles City cut the lead to 54-51 early in the second half, but the Tetons' Jarek Hansen hit a long three-pointer to put them back up six with 13:04 to play, and then another a few minutes later to make it 63-54.
The Tetons held the lead all the way through and closed out the victory.
Charlie Chapman scored 17 points and five rebounds. Hanson had 11 points and seven rebounds, Moriba Defreitas had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
"Jarek Hansen had an excellent performance today and hit some great big shots for us and got some key rebounds," Berg said. "I thought Tarrell Clark just had a whale of a tournament, he's just one tough dude out there. He really took care of us and just lead's by example."
