Saturday accident injures three

Three people were injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle accident in eastern Williams County.

A press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol said the accident happened at 10:50 a.m. Saturday on Highway 1804, 30 miles east of Williston.

The accident took place when Belinda Beston, 62, Mandaree, was traveling westbound on Highway 1804 in her 2007 Chevy pickup truck. Violet Schenk, 82, Ray, was traveling northbound on 109th Avenue Northwest from her residence and same to the intersection of 109th Avenue and Highway 1804.

Schenk pulled out in front of Beston and Beston's vehicle struck Schenk's.

Schenk was transported to Tioga Medical Center and was then transferred to Trinity Medical Center in Minot for treatment of her injuries. Beston and her passenger, Vallee Burbank, 20, Mandaree, were both transported to Mercy Medical Center. Beston's vehicle sustained front end and left rear end damages; Schenk's vehicle sustained front end and right rear damages.

The Williams County Sheriffs Department, Ray Volunteer fire Department, Ray Crash and Rescue, and Ray Community Ambulance Service also responded to the accident.
