Hunter Berg is both athletic director and men's basketball coach for the college, and he became one of the inaugural inductees for his stint as a basketball player from 1995 to 1997.
"When I played for coach T.O. (Terry Olson), those were the best two years of basketball of my life," Berg said. "I thought I knew the history of Teton athletics. I walked by the trophy case every day."
But Berg said he learned quite a bit more by working on the Hall of Fame project.
"I'm proud to say I'm bursting with pride in Teton athletic history," Berg said. Berg was among eight players to be inducted, alongside three coaches and four teams, including the 1978-79 women's basketball team which finished third at the NJCAA tournament back when the school was known as the University of North Dakota-Williston. Eleven of 12 members of that team made it to the induction.
The Hall of Fame weekend for the Tetons finishes on Sunday with the regular-season opener for men's and women's basketball, beginning at 3 p.m.
