Dennis Rogers

Dennis Glenn Rogers “Denny”, 61, Williston, formerly of Crosby, died suddenly in his home on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009.

His funeral services are at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at the Concordia Lutheran Church, Crosby with the Rev. Rob Garton officiating. Burial follows at the Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at the Stakston-Martin Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.

Denny was born on May 17, 1948, in Kenmare, the son of Glenn and Esther (Dahl) Rogers. As a child, Denny grew up in Bowbells and then moved to Crosby with his parents.

Denny spent many years in Crosby until later in life, when he then moved to Williston, where he resided until his death. Denny enjoyed going on hunting and fishing trips with his two brothers, Larry and Terry, visiting and drinking coffee with “Deet’s,” telling stories and spending time with his family.

Denny is survived by two brothers, Larry (Marilyn) Rogers, New Town and Terry Rogers, Williston; one brother- inn-law, Archie Peterson Jr., Crosby; two nieces, Tammra Peterson, Williston and Dawn Rogers, Willits, Calif.; five nephews, Randy (Michelle) Rogers, Plaza, Brandon (Krystal) Peterson, Crosby, Shawn Rogers, Willits, Calif., Garth (Mandy) Peterson, Williston and Hunter Rogers, Crosby; four great-nieces and two great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Esther Rogers; his sister, Judy Kay Peterson and grandparents.

The Stakston-Martin Funeral Home of Crosby is in charge of arrangements.

    " I thought of dennis as my own brother. I will truly miss him, he never asked for anything but to be a freind. I'll never for get all the good times we shared threw the years. My faimlys prays are with him,and his family. You are looking down at us all,and having the time of your life. Save some animals and fish for us brother. GOD SPEED. "
