The Divide County Maroons volleyball team blasted past the Trenton Tigers 3-0 on Thursday night in Trenton, wrapping up the regular season for each team.

Divide County won the match 25-7, 25-10, 25-11.

The Maroons' Ellie Gillund had four aces in the first game to set the tone for Divide County. She would finish with six in the game, part of her team's 17 aces.

Trenton's Courtney Moran had a pair of kills for the Tigers.

"We've got quite a few girls out with illness and injury, so we're coming in with a different six girls on the floor," said Trenton coach Jean Turcotte. "They did well for having one day of practice with these six." The Maroons will play in next week's District 16 tournament in Tioga, where five teams will compete for four spots in the region and they have a chance to earn one of the high seeds. Trenton will be heading into the District 15 tournament in Stanley, hoping to at least hold onto its fourth-place status and possibly move up.
