The Lady Tetons enter this week's tournament as the regular-season conference champions and enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed.
Bismarck State College and North Dakota State College of Science will round out the four-team field with a first-round match, also on Thursday evening.
The Lady Tetons enter the tournament knowing the other three teams will be aiming to knock them off.
"We have huge targets," said Williston State coach Lindsey Graue. "But any good team does." With seven sophomores on the squad, Williston State has plenty of experience to handle the pressures that come with this time of the year. But it boils down to the Lady Tetons playing their game.
"Just play together," Graue said of what it will take for her team to have success. "And work on everything we worked on together."
Sophomores Brenna Coffey, Ashley Senft and Chelsea Hicks have had big years for WSC and will need to continue their play this week if the Lady Tetons want to advance.
The winner of this week's tournament will host a play-in match next weekend to the national tournament next month.
"Every team is going to want to come out and beat us," the Williston State coach said. "All four teams in our region are tough. We've got to be on our toes."
