Mark was born on Aug. 7, 1952, in Reno, Nev., to Ardys (Pasche) DelaVega and Arthur DelaVega. The family moved to Vancouver, Wash., and there Mark graduated from Vancouver High School.
Before his illness and hospitalization, Mark was employed by Land Rover in the port city of Brunswick, as port manager, a job which he enjoyed very much.
Mark loved to hunt and fish and spent many hours in the mountains and by the streams enjoying the outdoors, often in the company of dad.
Summers were a special time for Mark in his younger days. That was when he would come to Columbus and help his grandpa, Otto Pasche, and uncle, Harold Pasche, on the farm north of Larson. Mark is survived by his wife, Carol, Brunswick, and two children who were a source of pride to Mark, his son, Matthew and Math's wife, Sarah and his daughter, Katy; grandchildren, Gabriel, Jance and Allyson, all of Washington; his parents, Ardys and Authur (Del) DelaVega, Williston; and sisters, Christine Green, Washington and Amy DelaVega, Grand Forks.
Also surviving are a nephew, Aaron Green, Washington, aunt, Myrtle Storhaug, Great Falls, uncle, Harold Pasche, Williston and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ted and Cora DelaVega, maternal grandparents, Otto and Ellen Pasche and several aunts and uncles.
