Terry Ann Hill was born March 20, 1953, in Williston to Donald and Arlene (Paulson) Hill, rural Ray.

She was baptized and confirmed at Rainbow Valley Lutheran Church and spent her early childhood with her family on the Hill farm in Rainbow Township, southern California, and Williston. The next four years were in Milton-Freewater, Ore., and Walla Walla, Wash., before returning to North Dakota and settling in Grenora.

After her mom moved to Bottineau to attend college, Terry lived with her aunt and uncle, Gladys and Freddie Eberle her senior year so she could graduate with the class of 1971 in Grenora. She attended college in Devils Lake until her marriage to her high school sweetheart, Steven Kenneth Storhaug, on April 22, 1972.

They were married at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Grenora and moved to the Storhaug farm northwest of Zahl.

They spent their entire married life on the farm, with the exception of one year, when Steve went to NDSU in Fargo. Together they raised their son, Neil and daughter, Nicky, there.

Terry enjoyed the farm life and worked side by side with Steve during many harvest seasons. She had a real fondness for kittens and over the years, she and Nicky named and raised oodles of them.

Neil became her constant companion after Steve’s death on March 1, 2003. Terry stayed on the farm until the fall of 2007, when she bought a home and moved to Williston.

She would play cards any time with anyone and made dozens of cross stitch pictures.

She was on a bowling league in Grenora for several years and could often be found playing bingo. The apples of her eye were her two grandsons, Cole and Logan. A prouder Grama couldn’t be found!

Terry is survived by her son, Neil, Zahl; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Mike Berg, Zahl; grandsons, Cole and Logan Berg, Zahl; brother, Dennis Hill, Williston; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Randy Olson, Ray; mother and father-in-law, Grace and Kenneth Storhaug, Williston; brothers-in-law, David and Jan Storhaug, Bismarck, Dennis and Pat Storhaug, Littleton, Colo., Leslie and Nancy Storhaug, Columbus, Ohio and Jerry and Yvonne Storhaug, Spokane, Wash.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her dad in 1987 and her mom on April 22, 2009.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the super staff of the dialysis unit at Mercy Hospital for the wonderful care given to Terry the last two years.

Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home, Williston on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and an hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
