Donald C. Flesness, 77, West Fargo, died on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, in his home.

Mr. Flesness was born on May 17, 1932, in Page, where he was raised and attended schools. He later moved to Fargo. He married Delores Benzmiller on Dec 26, 1954 in Page. They lived in Forman, until moving to Lisbon, where he worked as a mechanic for Hanson Motors. In 1974, they moved to Fargo and he worked as a technician and later as a technical writer and instructor for Steiger Tractor Co., Fargo. After leaving Steiger, he and his partners opened Multitech Publications in West Fargo. Delores died in 1989. Donald retired in 2007.

Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, Pinochle games with friends and time with his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his special friend, Janet Erickson and her daughters; daughters, Pamela Flesness, New York City, Angela (Rock) Hudson, Anneston, Ala., and Lynette Berg, West Fargo; son, Donald C. Jr. (Tina), Williston; sisters, Lorraine Flesness, Chanhassen, Minn., and Betty ( John) Ferguson, Fargo and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; two brothers and a grandson. Funeral service is on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. in West Funeral Home, West Fargo. A visitation is one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
