Richard Johnson, 84, Alamo, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at the Bethel Lutheran Home, Williston.

His funeral service is on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Everson Memorial Chapel, Williston. The Rev. April Peterson is officiating. Interment is in Bethesda Cemetery, rural Alamo.

Richard Johnson was born July 8, 1925, in Appam, N.D., to Bert and Hilda (Krabseth) Johnson.

He was raised and educated in the Alamo area. Richard was a lifelong area farmer and rancher who devoted his life to agriculture. Richard farmed until the time he entered Bethel Home.

Richard enjoyed baseball, bowling and sports of any kind. He is survived by his four brothers, Laverne Johnson and his wife, Carol, Lewiston, Idaho, Arnold Johnson, Alamo, N.D., Robert Johnson and his wife, Stella, Hazen and LeRoy Johnson and his wife, Bonnie, Great Falls; one sister-in-law, Stella Johnson, Clarkston, Wash. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Hilda; one brother, Kenneth Johnson and one sister-in-law, Gladys Johnson.

Friends may visit www.eversonfh.com to share thoughts and remembrances of Richard. Friends may also visit the Everson Funeral Home, Williston on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and at the funeral home on Wednesday for the hour preceding the service. The Everson Funeral Home, Williston is caring for the family.
