University of Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini announced Monday that former Williston resident and current Cornhusker offensive lineman Brent Qvale has suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. Pelini said Qvale is expected to miss three to four months of practice.

The 6-foot-7, 330-pounder has impressed the Huskers' coaching staff since fall camp opened earlier this month. The former Williston High School star had been working with the second-string offense prior to his injury.

No other information about Qvale's injury was immediately available.

Nebraska will open the season Sept. 5 against Florida Atlantic University.
