Coyotes place ninth at East/West Classic

JAMESTOWN ” The Williston Lady Coyotes golf team rounded out the two-day East/West Classic in Jamestown on Tuesday with a with final-round score of 406 to place ninth in the team standings.

"We were happy to be in that top 10,” said Williston coach Dennis Healy. “We're going to be working on our short game, the chipping and the putting and the approach to the green. Hopefully, we can clean up and steal a few more shots."

The scores improved for most teams because the weather was nicer, Williston improved by six shots. With the Williston Invite moved, the team now has almost two weeks off before the Minot Invite on Aug. 31.
