Preseason cross country state rankings are out
Williston boys come in at No. 5

The preseason polls for the 2009 North Dakota High School cross cross season were announced Monday.

The Williston High boys team enters the season ranked No. 5 .

Bismarck is ranked No. 1 with three runners ranked in the top 10. Century is ranked No. 3 as a team and also has three runners in the top 10. West Fargo has two runners ranked in the preseason top 10 and as a team is ranked No. 2

In Class B, Watford City is ranked fourth on the girls’ side. Watford City’s Sibee Jokela is ranked No. 2.

On the boys’ side, Watford City’s Hayes Feilmeiler is ranked No. 5.

The cross country seasons will open Aug. 21.
