Lions All-star hoops series tips tonight

BISMARCK — The North Dakota Lions all-star series will kick off tonight in Bismarck.

The state’s top Class A players will face off against the top Class B players in boys and girls basketball.

Although Williams and McKenzie counties don’t have any players on the Class A rosters, there are three players from the area who will be on the Class B teams.

On the boys’ side, Matt Kvernum, of Trinity Christian and Christian Schulz, of Watford City have been selected to play on the boys’ side.

Allison Hanson of Bowman County has been selected to the Class B team on the girls’ side. The series will conclude on Wednesday in Fargo.

Both nights the girls will play at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 8 p.m.
