MILES CITY, Mont. —  The Montana All-Stars got the better of the North Dakota All-Stars in the 16th annual Knights of Columbus Badlands Bowl game on Saturday night in Miles City, Mont.

The Montana All-Stars pulled away for a 33-7 win over the team from North Dakota.

It is Montana’s 12th win in the history of the game.

The two-man attack of Matt Reyant and Shade Theriault proved to be too much for North Dakota to handle,

Reyant scored on Montana’s opening drive from 5 yards out to give his team a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Theriault scored on a 5-yard run to give Montana a 13-7 lead.

Theriault’s TD came after Watford City’s Tyler Flatland caught a 25-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7-7.

In the closing minutes of the opening half, Reyant hit Theriault from 79 yards out to give Montana a 19-7 lead at intermission.

In the second half, North Dakota was on the verge of getting back into the game. North Dakota took the opening kick of the half and matched down the field.

However, Flatland hauled in a pass inside the 5 and fumbled the ball into the end zone, giving it back to Montana.

Montana took the ball and went right back down the field for its fourth touchdown of the night. This score came off a 5-yard run by Reyant.

In the fourth quarter, Reyant hit Theriault from 72 yards out to round out the scoring.

Flatland finished the game with two catches for 43 yards, while Williston’s John Oyloe had two tackles.
