Paulette Goff

Paulette (Hagen) Goff, 61, Crosby, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Minot after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Her Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009, at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Crosby with the Rev. Biju Chitteth as celebrant.

Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Stakston-Martin Funeral Home with a vigil/rosary at 7 p.m. at the church. Visitation also is one hour before the service at the church.

Paulette was born to Melvin and Dorothy (Thon) Hagen in Noonan on Oct. 26, 1947. She attended Noonan schools and was baptized and confirmed at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Paulette was united in marriage to Don Goff Jr. of Plentywood on Nov. 9, 1968. At that time she became a member of the Catholic Church.

They made their home in Williston until 1997, and have since made their home in Crosby. They spent this past winter in Casa Grande, Ariz.

Paulette and Don were true soul mates and celebrated their 40th anniversary last year. Her life revolved around her husband, children, grandkids and her family and friends. She always put others before herself and enjoyed visiting with her friends and family in person or on the phone.

She loved to bake and always made sure the cookie jar was full. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, camping, bingo and trips to the casino.

She is survived by husband, Don; son, Jamie, Eagan, Minn.; daughter, Kim (Randy) Olson and grandchildren, Cody and Ciarra, all of Crosby; sisters, Joann Heltemes, Wadena, Minn., Mavis (Terry) Olson and Darlene (Robert) Kroshus, both of Crosby; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Mary Goff; aunts, Mildred Hagen and Evie Hagen; special uncle, Ernest Hagen and many special cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Janet Hauck; nephews, Craig and Brent Olson; niece, Rachelle Olson; father-in-law, Donavon Goff Sr.; stepfather, Art Espeseth and brother-in-law, Gib Heltemes.

The Stakston-Martin Funeral Home, Crosby is in charge of arrangements.
