Black is chosen to be a speaker at graduation  Jamestown College is presenting bachelor’s degrees to 180 graduating seniors at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, at the Jamestown Civic Center. Baccalaureate is at 10:30 a.m. Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., is delivering the commencement address. Kellee Black, a business administration graduate from Williston, is to be one of the student speakers. Dr. Brian Lang, associate professor of religion-philosophy, is the baccalaureate speaker. The senior class motto is a quotation from Booker T. Washington: “Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which one has overcome while trying to succeed.” |
