Mary 'Marty' Milner

A memorial services is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church for Mary Martha “Marty” Milner, 80, Roswell, N.M., who passed away April 27, 2009, at the Roswell Regional Hospital. The Rev. Bob Tally will officiate.

Marty was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Covington, Ken., to E.G. and Mae Taylor. They both have preceded her in death.

Marty married Red Milner on Aug. 2, 1954 in Williston. She loved to plant flowers. Her yard in Williston was the best looking every summer. Marty also enjoyed playing golf and the Williston Country Club was always blooming with beautiful flower because of her.

Marty worked in the shoe dept. at J.C. Pennys. She was very active at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

In September 1992, Marty and Red moved to Roswell. They found they could play golf all year around. She continued planting her beautiful flowers at their new home. Marty enjoyed doing ceramics and was a wonderful cook.

She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Marty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond “Red”  “Bud” Milner; one son, Joe Milner and his wife LuAnn of Detroit Lakes, Minn.; one daughter, Kimberly Mae Ramsey and her husband Leland of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Jessica (Thomas) Reynolds of Lubbock, Texas, Jeremy (Bethany) Ramsey of Jacksonville, Fla, Samantha Milner, Benjamin Milner and Katie Ann Milner, all of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and one great-grandchild, Addison Ray Reynolds, of Lubbock, Texas.

Marty was a homemaker. She was a former Eastern Star member.
