Vachal is to head Williston Job Service

Tanya Vachal joined Job Service North Dakota (JSND) on Jan. 2 as manager of the Williston Customer Service Office (CSO).

As manger of the Williston CSO, Vachal helps plan, direct and implement employment, unemployment insurance, and job training programs in the Williston area. She is active in day-to-day operations as a member of the JSND customer service team.

Vachal has eight years of experience with the Grand Forks Housing Authority as a senior family self-sufficiency coordinator, managing employment and home ownership programs. She graduated from the University of North Dakota (UND) in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in religion.

Williston NDAD is relocating

Effective Jan. 1, the North Dakota Association for the Disabled, Inc. (NDAD) Williston office is located at 514 Reclamation Drive Williston, N.D. 58801. Office hours are from 10 a.m. - noon Monday through Friday.

The mission of NDAD is to enhance the quality of lives of individuals facing health challenges. Services provided by NDAD include: information, referral and advocacy, assistive technology financial loan program and direct financial assistance including personal attendant care, durable medical equipment, home accessibility, limited medications and medical travel.

NDAD also offers a loan program at no charge for individuals to borrow a piece of durable medical equipment including walkers, bath benches, wheelchairs, grab bars, etc. Some restrictions may apply and NDAD guidelines will be followed.
