First-year coach Jody Bolinske was named Coach of the Year, and the Coyotes had four All-State swimmers.
Madison Porter was named to the first-team All State squad, and Kaitlin Bolinkse, Sadie Miller and Kelsey Stenson earned second- team honors.
The fourth-place finish came with 99 points, behind Minot (331), West Fargo (287), and Bismarck Cenutry (250).
The Coyotes sent 17 swimmers and three divers to the tournament, with two divers and four swimmers qualifying for the finals and an additional four swimming on the second day to fill out relay teams. The top Coyotes finishers were a trio of second places from Madison Porter in the 100 butterfly, Kaitlin Bolinske in the 100 freestyle and Sadie Miller in the 100 breaststroke.
Bolinkse also just missed in the 100 backstroke, finishing fourth just 0.26 seconds behind second.
“Sadie kept her shoulder healthy all season, fighting through an injury,” said coach Bolinske. “It was quite a performance.”
Abbie Kemp finished 14th in diving for the Coyotes.
“It’s always big for Williston to have someone score in diving,” Bolinske said.
The Coyotes’ squad was filled with underclassmen, eighth- and seventh-graders, making the future seem bright for the team.
