Larry was born Jan. 12, 1956, in Williston to Melvin and Maxine Marquardt. He was united in marriage to Toni Muessman Jan. 28, 1974. He worked at Wisco, Williston Packing Plant and then Noble Drilling for nine years until injured on the job and becoming disabled. Although Larry didn’t have a higher education, God blessed him with so many gifts and talents everyone appreciated.
Before his injury, Larry was a hard-working and active man who enjoyed his work and was respected by his co-workers. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and woodworking and had a difficult time giving up that part of his life. He was proud of his children and grandchildren; always thinking of everyone but himself.
We believe the most important day of his life is when he accepted Jesus as his Savior. God began a work in his heart and life that changed him. It was with God’s strength that Larry lived each day enduring constant pain and suffering. Through it all, he kept a great sense of humor and joked with those around him. He never gave up. Larry is survived by his wife, Toni; son, Michael (Mary) and their children, Emily, Jasmine, and Hunter of Williston; daughter, Misty Hester (Craig) and their children, Jordan, Sebastian, and Isabella of Minot; son, Ricky (Anna) and their children, Taylor, Devyn, Joslyn and Maverick of Watford City; daughter, Melissa and her child, Sierra of Williston; brother, LeRoy of Williston; sister, Monica Lambert (Larry) of Ray; and other dearly loved family members and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Maxine Marquardt; sister, Karen Davis; and several other family members.
Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home in Williston on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
