Williston Community Library Director Debbie Slais said the roof is expected to be water tight by the end of today and finished on Tuesday.
"Even if we do get rain after today, it should not leak," she added.
In preparation for the library's opening, Slais and her staff are cleaning over the weekend.
"We are cleaning the carpet this weekend because we had muddy water, and we are cleaning bookshelves and furniture," said Slais. "We are doing a lot of the cleaning ourselves because we know it needs to be done." Slais is getting cost estimates today for replacing damaged ceiling tiles and wall paper.
"My staff was very supportive and worked very hard to protect everything in the library that we could," said Slais. "I just think they did a wonderful job."
Slais believes 20 to 50 books were damaged following the initial leak two week ago.
"It's hard to say," she said. "We just haven't gotten through all of them."
There was no damage to computer equipment.
Slais wants to thank the general public for being patient and understanding during this time.
