Doreen 'Aggie' Standish

Doreen “Aggie” White Owl Standish, of rural Fairfield, formerly of Killdeer, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident west of New Town. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at Mandaree High School. Elise Packineau will officiate and interment will be held at Independence Cemetery.

Wake services will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Mandaree High School. Friends are encouraged to sign the on-line register book and give their condolences at www.fulkersons.com

Doreen (Aggie) White Owl was born on Sept. 20, 1961, to Jessie White Owl Standish in Watford City. Doreen’s father was William (Billy) Hall Sr. Doreen belonged to the Dripping Dirt clan and was a child of the low cap clan. She was raised in the Mandaree community. She also lived in Killdeer for 15 years. She was living in Belfield at the time of her passing.

Doreen was a homemaker and she enjoyed being a mother to her children. She loved to shop, and also enjoyed walking, reading, visiting with people, talking on the phone, and helping people. Doreen was a carefree person and lived her life to the fullest.

Doreen is survived by her daughter, Heather Demaray of Bismarck; sons, Anton and Brandon Helfrich of Killdeer; brothers, Nelson Fredericks, of Minneapolis, and Wesley Hall, of New Town, Ethan Hall, Daniel Hall, Curtis Hall, all of Mandaree; sisters, Marian Poole of Williston; Eunice White Owl Watford City, Doris Johnson of Trenton, Renea White Owl of Parshall, her twin sister, Darlene Edley of Ponce de Leon, Mo., Janice Hall of Texas, Kathleen Hall of New Town, Francis Mossitt of Twin Buttes, Mary Ann Comero of New Town, and Noreen Mossitt of Twin Buttes. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie; brother, Kenny White Owl; sisters, Wanda Many Ribs and Violet Standish; and maternal grandparents, Simon & Edna White Owl.
