"We're getting busier all the time, and my other locations are as well," said Preble. "And it's just bound to get better, especially the way it's booming now in Williston and Dickinson."
Although the main location opened in Mandan 15 years ago, the business has grown to include five locations throughout the state.
"We have been growing ever since, and so we just keep adding offices because we keep getting busier in those locations," said Preble.
The company does drug and alcohol collections for different firms and "sets up the whole program for them," she said. This includes policy development and administration, management of drug and alcohol testing programs, records of maintenance and reasonable suspicion and supervisor training. In addition, they can do hair testing, youth and personal testing, paramedical exams for insurance companies, audiograms (hearing tests), DNA, infidelity and paternity testing.
The Williston and Dickinson offices require appointments, but the locations in Mandan, Minot and Fargo do not. Preble said the appointment-only policy at these two locations stems from the high demand for onsite services.
"Eventually, we'll have some established hours," said Preble. "It's just that they've been going onsite a lot, so that's what we've been doing there."
As of now, office manager and collector Anita Sax is the sole employee at the 1303 2nd Ave. W. office in Williston. She has been with the company for two years and also covers the surrounding areas near the office.
Preble said although they have business hours at all of their sites, employees can go onsite after hours.
She added that traveling to a location means less cost for their clients because they don't have to bring people in or take people off the job site.
"We can just have their collections done and be back to work," Preble said. "It saves everybody a lot of time and money."
Preble said their clients are spread across the board despite the overwhelming oil activity in the Dickinson and Williston areas.
"We've got a lot of trucking firms and school bus drivers and variety, so oil is just another area we can kick into and meet their needs wherever they need it," she said.
She also works with contractors throughout the different locations.
"If we get real busy, we pull another contractor," she said, noting they also do insurance exams for insurance companies.
"It's kind of a two-fold business where we do it out of the same offices," she said.
In that case, when someone applies for life insurance, one of Preble's nurses goes onsite to do an exam, blood, urine and EKG test.
Looking into the future, she most likely needs to hire a few more employees for the new location in Williston.
"It depends how Williston grows," Preble said.
