The Trenton-Trinity Christian football team’s final home game was cut short on Friday night due to lighting problems, but TTC lost to Mohall-Lansford-Shermwood 26-0 in Trenton.
Officials called the game at halftime when two of the four new light towers at Trenton’s field would not work properly.
“The Mavericks controlled the line of scrimmage and they controlled the game,” said assistant coach Ben Eder. “ They ran the ball effectively, while most of our runs got stuffed for short gains. Their quarterback had sufficient time to throw, while ours was continually scrambling to get away from the rush. “
The box score from the game is on B2. In other weekend football action, Divide County defeated Parshall 52-26. Quin Ellison ran for two touchdowns and threw for three for Divide County, and Cole Hendrickson threw for four more.
Killdeer defeated Stanley 36-9, and Watford City topped Hazen 35-34.
