Marion Larson

Marion Larson, 88, a longtime Williston resident, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at her home in Williston of natural causes.

A memorial service celebrating Marion’s life will be held at 11 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008. The Rev. Rod Tkach will officiate and interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Marion was born in Ray to Walter and Agnes (Schimming) Ferguson on March 6, 1920. She attended school at Hofflund and Ray. She was baptized and confirmed at the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church.

In 1939, she entered nurses training at Mercy Hospital in Williston and received her R.N. in 1942. She moved to Seattle and worked at St. Luke's Hospital there. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Weyrauch, in 1944.

Marion returned to her parent's home at Hofflund and in 1945, moved to Williston to work in area hospitals and in doctors' offices. Marion married Melgard Larson in 1948. Marion was a member of Faith United Methodist Church until her death. Marion was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Agnes Ferguson; her brother, Fred Ferguson; an infant sister, Annie M; and husband, Melgard Larson.

She is survived by son, Patrick Weyrauch, Livermore, Calif.; daughter, Patricia Weyrauch Dutton, Ham Lake, Minn.; sons, James Larson, Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and Roger Larson, Aurora, Colo.; as well as an extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donations in memory of Marion may be made if you wish to Faith United Methodist Church.

Friends may call at the Everson Funeral Home of Williston Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and at the church on Friday for the hour preceding the funeral.
