A documentary honoring former Gov. Arthur Albert Link of Alexander debuts Saturday during the 63rd Annual Old Settler’s Day Celebration.
Screening of “When the Landscape is Quiet Again: The Legacy of Art Link” is at 3 p.m. in the Alexander Public School gymnasium.
It is free and open to the public.
The one-hour film, nine months in the making, was directed by Clay Jenkinson of Dickinson and produced by the Dakota Institute, said David Borlaug, president of the Lewis and Clark Fort Mandan Foundation (LCFMF). He added the film remains a work in progress until it opens in Bismarck and Fargo in September, and then on national television in October.
Hosts for the Saturday event are Marvin and Joyce Kaiser of Williston. Also attending are Jenkinson and Borlaug.
Link, born in 1914, served as the North Dakota’s 27th governor from 1973-1980.
