Williston man faces drug charges after Tuesday arrest

Dean Paul Wheeler, 45, was arrested Tuesday for ingestion of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, and for possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony. Other charges may be pending.

The arrest came after the Northwest Narcotics Task Force, in conjunction with the North Dakota Department of Corrections - Field Services and the Williston Police Department, conducted a search at Wheeler’s residence at 1351 10th Ave. W. on Tuesday.

A bond hearing was set for Wheeler at 1 p.m. today in Northwest District Court at the Williams County Courthouse.
